Students will be introduced to the French language and culture, focusing on achieving Novice level reading, writing, listening, presentational speaking, and interpersonal speaking based on the standards set by the American Council of Teachers of Foreign Language

Students will continue their study of the French language and culture. Students are expected to reach Novice High or Intermediate Low stage in reading, writing, listening, presentational speaking, and interpersonal speaking based on the standards set by the American Council of Teachers of Foreign Language.

• 1 Language Credit, can be repeated

Students will analyze authentic cultural resources in French to improve their reading, writing, listening, presentational speaking, and interpersonal speaking skills to an Intermediate level based on the standards set by the American Council of Teachers of Foreign Language.

• Prerequisite: Heritage or native Spanish speaker or Spanish III with C average
• 1 Language Credit
• NCAA approved course

This course is designed for Heritage Spanish speakers; native speakers are also welcome. Students will develop their reading, writing, speaking and listening skills in Spanish. Students are expected to participate in a variety of activities designed to improve their linguistic and literacy skills in Spanish. Students who are able to demonstrate advanced proficiency will also have the opportunity to earn the Oregon State Seal of Biliteracy.

Develop your Spanish reading and writing skills in this semester-long class. In this class, which will be conducted entirely in Spanish, we will focus on common spelling mistakes, rules for accents, reading comprehension, and organized writing. Students will practice and develop formal, academic Spanish language with the goal of bringing their reading and writing skills up to ACTFL's Intermediate High or Advanced Low by reading essays, articles, and short stories as well as writing paragraphs and essays. Students can repeat this course for credit.

Desarrolle sus habilidades de lectura y escritura en español en esta clase de un semestre. En esta clase, que se llevará a cabo íntegramente en español, nos centraremos en: errores comunes de ortografía, reglas para los acentos, comprensión de lectura y escritura organizada.
