Project Youth+
Project Youth+ serves students from 6th grade through post-secondary students, with a mission to increase access to opportunities, remove barriers, and prepare low-income, first-generation, and underrepresented youth to thrive in school, college, and careers.
Project Youth+ offers three programs at Phoenix High School, including College Incentive, Career Building, and IDA Opportunities.
College Incentives work to grant special outings, access to youth camps, and college scholarships to the students they work with.
Career Building provides career exploration activities and paid work opportunities for low-income 11th and 12th-grade students.
IDA serves students who come from low-income backgrounds and provides financial education classes, develops college funding plans, and the option to set up a special college savings account.
Phoenix High School's Project Youth+ College Advisor, Christian Bazan, is located in the Future Planning Center and works in groups and on a one-on-one basis with students enrolled in the Project Youth+ program.
