Message from Our Head Soccer Coach

Hello PHS families,

My name is Chris Gallegos, and I am proud to serve as the head coach of the PHS Boys’ Soccer Team. I’ve had the privilege of leading this program for the past six years, and my connection to Phoenix soccer runs deep. I was an assistant coach with the Pirates from 1995 to 2000 and a member of the team that captured the school’s first-ever conference title in 1988.

Phoenix High School Boys’ Soccer has a proud tradition of success—both on the field and in the classroom. Our program has consistently ranked among the top 10 in the state for team GPA, and we are deeply committed to fostering a culture of academic excellence.

Athletically, we have built a strong legacy. The team has reached the state title game four times, won multiple conference championships, and developed players who have continued their careers at the collegiate level.

More importantly, our core mission is to help shape young men into successful, responsible citizens and future leaders. Soccer is our platform, but the legacy we hope to leave behind is one of character, hard work, and community leadership.
